La Villa Rica
Villa Rica is a historical site worth stopping by. In its waters, Hernán Cortés sank the ships. On its sands, he built the first town of the Conquest with his own hands. It is fascinating to climb the beautiful creeks and practice any water sport without any risk, when visiting this beautiful beach.
Other attractions for visitors are the sandy hills formed along the beach and resemble a tiny desert on the seashore.

Las Dunas del Sabanal
It is something sensational to be surrounded by sand, sun and sea in the beach of Chachalacas. When observing the northern part of the place, we can find huge mountains of sand, this is the dune system called Dunas del Sabanal. They are moved by the wind, so that the sand accumulates, creating diverse and capricious shapes. They were formed more than 10,000 years ago.
Commercials, movies and music videos have been recorded there. Motocross and ATV beach rallies are also held every year. Visitors will be able to get to know it through an ATV tour, living a unique experience.

La Antigua
Casa de Hernán Cortés: its architecture is similar to that found in buildings of Andalusia. It was built with coral rocks, river stone, volcanic stone, flat tile (brick) and as a repel oyster slime, ground catey shell, seagull egg, nopal cactus slime. River sand along with its water, this mixture was called "Stucco" or "Argamasa", Ermita del Rosario: This church was built between 1523 and 1524, being the first church in continental America. Its architecture is Spanish type, with its belfry for three bells and its atrium in which the fourteen stations of the Via Crucis are seen, made in mosaic of Talavera de la Reina, inside it is a baptismal font carved by indigenous people made of volcanic stone and one piece only.

Actopán
Actopan, known as la Ciudad del Convento, is located in Valle del Mezquital. In Actopán you will be able to discover an architectural wonder: the temple and former convent of San Nicolás Tolentino, dated 16th century.
Actopán has a brilliant history, and it is known for its other artistic and historical monuments, and, of course, its typical gastronomy, characterized by barbecue and pulque.

Quiahuiztlán
This archaeological zone had three purposes: It was a City, a Cemetery in which remains of 78 graves arranged in three main cemeteries were found; and Fortaleza, since in all the foothills of the hill you can see defensive walls of different dimensions, a fact that caused admiration to the first Hispanics, for this reason it is mentioned in their relationships. Visitors will be able to enjoy an impressive view from the height of the hill.

Zempoala
It is considered that probably these activities were performed every 20 days in prehispanic times. It was one of the most important Totonac settlements during the post-classic period. Another version suggests that the name meant "abundance of water." The site has several sets of mounds surrounded by walls. The civic-ceremonial area covers a space of 4,300 square meters where the Pimiento Building, the Moctezuma Palace, the Temple of the Cross, and the Caritas Building are located; The Walled System IV was composed by Templo Mayor on the north, the west's Great Pyramids; and the Temple of the God of Air.

El Descabezadero
Despite its name, "EI Descabezadero" is a natural area in the Actopan River basin, which is precisely where the source of said river is located, creating a waterfall that slides over rocks surrounded by lush vegetation, as the river reaches this point after running through the mountains to sprout and fall towards the pool that will be the beginning of the course of this exciting river.
